First Time Going on 'Big' Potty!

I'm definatly a big boy now, I'm going potty just like all the big kids!  Each time I go potty, I get a sticker - and with five stickers, I get to pick out a toy!

I got to see Shrek on a really big screen, sitting in a really big chair, eating from a really big tub of popcorn!  Mommy says I did great watching the movie and we can go back again!

After a few years of practice, I finally figured out how to stick just my thumb in the air and yell "Gig'em!"!  Mommy and Daddy get very excited when I do this.  So now that I know how, I do it randomly sometimes just to make them smile.

July 14-24, 2008

I found out that there are bath tubs bigger than mine!  I learned how to "kick, kick, kick" and even how to put my head under water.  My friend Landon even came along and was in the class with me.  Can't wait 'til next year!

Spent time on the Port Aransas beach, taking a vacation from the eat-sleep-poop rat race.  Here I enjoyed sleeping peacefully on the beach, eating sand, and well, I did still poop.  So, it was much of the same for me, but it was a lot of fun playing in the big "swimming pool"!

All the time spent rocking in place and moving backwards is starting to pay off!  Today I crawled, just a few steps, in the forward direction.  I don't have all the mechanics down yet, but hey, at least I'm moving in the right direction!!!

Howdy! Mommy and Daddy took me to their ol' stopping ground for the first time and oh what fun it was!  I took pictures all over campus, drove around town, and went to a baseball game.  Gig'em Aggies!!

Okay...not only have I got the correct tilt on the bottle, but I don't need anyone else's help to drink it!  Jaden begins his new journey of having a bottle alone.  Funny, I kinda already miss doing it for him......

The days of relaxation during bottle feeding are coming to an end.  For the first time, Jaden holds his own bottle.  Not too bad for a little guy on the verge of falling asleep! Now we just have to work on tilting it in the right direction.....

Every man, err...boy, comes to a time in his life where they encounter alcohol.  For Jaden, it was sooner than ever, in helping celebrate Uncle Matthew's 22nd birthday.  Cheers to his first keg stand!

Continuing a Davis tradition, an acorn tree was planted for Jaden, just as one was planted for Justin back in 1986.  The tree planted for Jaden stemmed from an acorn that had fallen from Justin's tree.

It's time for some variety! Dinner's in the Davis house now included Jaden getting to eat some real baby food!  His favorite is sweet potatoes, just like his daddy!

At Lakeline Mall in Austin, Jaden slept patiently in line to see ol' Saint Nick.  When his turn came for pictures, he sat calmly with Santa.  After mom and dad picked out the perfect pose, dad went to get Jaden when Santa said, "Well, I think he's a little gassy."  Dad replied, "Thats just his gift to you Santa."  Mommy did confirm the poop situation soon thereafter when changing him in the restroom.

Watching the game at Grandpa and GiGi's house, the Texas A&M Aggies defeated the 13th

ranked Longhorns at Kyle Field

38-30 before a record crowd of 88,253.  This game marked the last for Coach Fran.

Traveled to the "Riverhouse" in New Braunfels for Darby's 50th birthday party.  My Pack n' Play was all setup for me to sleep in, but I much preferred to be held by Daddy all night long.  (In Jaden's defense, it was a cold night!!)

At Shoreline Christian Center in Austin, Jaden was dedicated to the Lord as part of this special ceremony.  We are very thankful and excited to lead him through this life with Jesus in our hearts.

Well, I finally decided to come out and play September 7, 2007, two days after mommy's due date.  All I remember hearing was "Wow, he's a big baby!" I sure hope no one is calling me fat already. 

We spent another day and a half in the hospital at Seton Northwest, apparently to let people poke at me and disturb my sleep.  Click here to see all the pictures.

Lots of family and friends came to visit me too.  I really enjoyed meeting everyone, especially my cousin Reece.

Overall, I am very excited about this new adventure.  It seams like a big and scary world out there, but I think two familiar voices will help me find my way.
